Guarantee All knives have a lifetime guarantee to the original owner. Although most makers do not guarantee natural handle materials, I will usually replace them at minimal charge. If any knife should prove to be defective under normal use, it will be repaired or replaced at no additional charge. NOTE: A knife should not be used as a screwdriver, chisel, prybar, or any use other than that for which it was designed.

Quality Materials
All knives are made of the finest quality materials for a lifetime of use. Each comes with a handmade sheath of genuine leather, custom made to each knife, and a zippered storage case.

Blades
Each blade is hollow-ground from ATS-34 or 440-C stainless steel. These are high-carbon, high-chrome steels which hold an edge well and resist corrosion. Various styles of damascus are also options. All ATS & 440-C blades are polished to a mirror finish. Damascus blades are polished, then acid treated to bring out patterns in the blade. Standard stock is 3/16" on most styles, 1/4" on bowies and 1/8" on smaller knives. Paul Bos commercially heat treats all blades to 59-60RC.

Handles
Natural handle materials are most popular for their beauty and value such as foreign and domestic woods and horn. Stag, elk, and muledeer are some personal favorites along with sheep and bufallo horn. Other options include desert ironwood, amber, oosic, ivory, and stabilized wood, while pakkawoods and micarta are best for durability.

Fittings
Nickel silver is used on the hidden tang knives and 416 stainless on full tangs. Brass is also an option.

Styles
Knives shown are only a representative sample of my work. I make all styles of knives of my design or yours. I hope you will look at these patterns as a starting point. If you wish to make changes or design your own knife, simply send or fax (preferred method) a drawing or picture of what you want and we will start from there.

Options
These include filework on blade and tang, decorative pins, tapered tangs and double bolsters. Scrimshaw and engraving are personal preferences and; therefore, usually left to the customer to use the artist of their choice.

About Randy Lee
Randy's fascination with knives began as a young man when he made his first knife in a high school "metals" class. He collected them for years and eventually began making his own to get a better edge-holding skinner for hunting.

Randy read books and visited local makers to learn the craft. In 1979, he decided to invest in shop equipment so that he could properly master his knifemaking skills. In a few yars, he was making and selling knives to local hunters, while continually developing his style and craftsmanship. He attended his first knife show in 1986 and has been participating in about six shows each year since then.

Randy's wife, Sonja Lee, is one of the premier sheath makers in the business. Using exotic hides, or leather and various forms of tooling, she has mastered the craft of sheath making. Sonja creates the custom sheaths which are provided for each of Randy Lee's knives and she is now making custom sheaths for many other knifemakers and collectors.

As an avid hunter, Randy knows how a good hunting knife should perform. He loves to "field-test" his designs and feels that a quality knife should not only look great, but perform well as a tool. He offers a wide variety of knife styles; from utility hunters and fighters to collector pieces such as daggers and bowies.

Although the actual work of grinding and buffing knives is very tedious, he always finds it rewarding to see the final finished product. Randy particularly enjoys meeting people who find knives as interesting and exciting as he does.
