    This is a group of moderately developed campgrounds, including South Cove, Rattlesnake, S.B. Cove, and Bartlett Flats. Although very popular during the summer months, this campground is ideal for spring and fall camping. Outhouses are available.

    This is one of the most popular camping , fishing and boating areas in the state. There are 46 sites, and concrete table bench units. There is no drinking water. but there is flush toilets. The low elevation makes for very warm summer temperatures, and there is very little shade available.

    There are massive mesquite trees that offer wonderful shade to the 8 sites at this campground. They are also the reason that tall recreational vehicles are not recommended. There is no fee, and the campground is open year round, although the low elevation causes extreme temperatures during the summer months.

    This Maricopa County campground has all the modern amenities, including hot showers, water and electricity hookups, and hiking and riding trails. This campground is just a step away from the city, yet worlds away in appearance. There is a fee, and a 72 hour stay limit for groups.

    Riverside

    This campground is located on the Verde River, South of the Jojoba boating site. The cottonwood and mesquite trees offer shade, and when the Salt River Project releases water into the Verde, water recreation is allowed. There is no fee, and outhouses are available.

    Seven Springs

    Surrounded by ash and sycamore trees, this is truly an oasis in the desert. Open all year. Due to its elevation, this campground is noticeably cooler than the valley below. It is a bumpy dusty road, but well worth the trip, and there is no fee.
