Casa Malpais Indian Ruins

Casa Malpais is located 2 miles North of Springerville, 3 miles North of Eagar, Arizona in Arizona's White Mountain area.

The Mogollon, Sinagua, Anasazi, and Hohokam Indians were primary tribes living in the Eastern White Mountains between the 11th and 14th century. Casa Malapais is a ruin from the Mogollon Indians during that time period.

Many historians believe climatic changes were the cause of departure for the elusive "vanishing tribes" of the Southwest. Casa Malpais Indian Ruins reveals a peak into the lives of one ancient tribe.

Casa Malpais Museum is located in Springerville and guided tours of the ruins originate from the museum. Tours leave at 9:00am, 11:00am, and 2:30pm daily.
