BECKER LAKE
Becker Lake has a special side to it. It is the only lake in the state with a closed season. The reason why the Game and Fish Department do this,is because it is such a large lake ,about 85 acres, that this helps them to manage it. The trout in this lake are big and beautiful. There are some regulations to keep the populations high. The idea of this is so the smaller fish have a chance to grow. The lake is two miles northwest of Springerville off of State Rte.60. There is no overnight camping but there is a campground along the highway. There are facilities including a launch area, parking and restrooms.
